OPEC Oil Export Revenue Fell to Lowest Since 2010
Members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries earned their lowest oil export revenue since 2010 last year due to a "precipitous" decline in average oil prices and a decrease in shipments levels, says the U.S. Energy Information Administration. OPEC countries received about $404 billion in net oil export revenues last year, a 46% decline from the $753 billion earned in 2014. The EIA projects that OPEC net oil export revenues could fall further to about $341 billion in 2016.
