Saudi Arabia to Maintain Crude Export Levels Under 7 Mln B/D
Top oil exporter Saudi Arabia said Tuesday it will maintain its overall crude-oil supply levels in May to below 7 million barrels a day, in line with Saudi Arabia's commitments to the OPEC-led supply reduction pact to help rein in a global supply glut.
Allocations to international customers were kept lower despite nominations coming in higher than the previous month as demand picks up seasonally, the energy ministry said in an emailed statement.
"Saudi Arabia continues to lead by example, producing less than its ceiling under the [OPEC] declaration of cooperation, despite seasonally-rising domestic and international demand," a ministry spokesperson said in the statement.
