India's LNG Demand to Remain Robust in Next 5 Years: BMI
[Dow Jones] India's liquefied natural gas imports will likely grow at an average rate of 14% per year through to 2020, driven by a significant LNG import capacity expansion program, including seven new projects that are slated to come online in the next two to three years, says BMI Research in a note. "The major driver of India's LNG needs will be the power sector, as the share of natural gas in India's power mix grows in tandem with rising investment into domestic gas-fired power infrastructure as part of the government's drive towards cleaner fuels," the firm says.
