Iraq Crude Oil Revenue Falls
Revenues from Iraq crude oil exports fell by over $1bn in August despite production falling by only 71,000 barrels a day (b/d) compared with July, according to figures released by the country's State Organization for Marketing of Oil. August output is still 1.06 million b/d higher than a year ago, with Iraq exporting a total of 95.447 million barrels, averaging over 3 million b/d. Low oil prices meant an average of only $40.59 a barrel, resulting in total revenues of almost $3.78bn compared to $4.91bn in July and $5.3bn in June.
