英国第28轮许可证出售招标授出175份许可证

据普氏能源资讯7月27日伦敦报道，尽管行业不景气，然而，英国政府27日仍授出了41份海上勘探许可证，从而完成了一轮监管部门认为证明了持续“良好”兴趣水平的许可证授出。

尽管批评者指出几乎没有几家公司已承诺真正钻井，然而，27日的授出使得英国第28轮许可证出售招标授出的许可证总数达到了175份。

英国新成立的油气管理局（OGA）首席执行官安迪·塞缪尔说，良好的兴趣水平证明了英国油气资源的持续吸引力。然而，许可证只是一个开始，而行业、政府和OGA现在需要加强合作来振兴整个盆地的勘探活动并将许可证转换成成功的勘探井。

UK authorities hail latest North Sea offshore exploration license awards

The UK authorities awarded 41 offshore exploration licenses Monday, completing a round of awards the regulator said proved continued "good" levels of interest, despite the downturn in the industry.

The awards brought to 175 the number of licenses awarded in the 28th round, although critics point out that few companies have promised to actually drill wells.

"The good level of interest...highlights the continued attractiveness of the UK's oil and gas resources," the CEO of the newly established Oil and Gas Authority, Andy Samuel, said.

"Licenses are however just a start and industry, government and the OGA now need to work together to revitalize exploration activity across the basin and convert licenses into successful exploration wells."
