油价下跌并不意味着石油行业将迎来破产潮

据道琼斯6月26日消息，在上周油价跌至熊市区域后，合乎逻辑的看法是接下来石油行业将迎来一波破产潮，油价已经从今年2月份的峰值水平回落逾20%。但是先锋自然资源公司首席执行长Scott Sheffield表示，他预期即使油价跌至35美元/桶，宣布破产的石油公司数量也非常有限。在华盛顿召开的美国能源信息署（EIA）能源大会发表演讲时，他表示：“大多数石油公司已经通过股权或资产出售降低了杠杆。”

Oil's Fall May Not Mean Bankruptcies

A wave of bankruptcies throughout the oil patch might seem like a logical next step after oil prices plunged into a bear market last week, dropping more than 20% from February peaks. But Scott Sheffield, the executive chairman at Pioneer Natural Resources, says he anticipates "very few" bankruptcies even if oil prices fall toward $35/bbl. "Most people have already de-leveraged through equity or selling assets," he says in a speech at the EIA Energy Conference in Washington.
