Gasoline Glut Is Global Issue
The global gasoline markets are facing huge gluts as several markets are oversupplied, says the London-based Energy Aspects. In a note, the think-tank says U.S. coast gasoline inventories are above 70 million barrels in mid-July and a similar picture is forming in Asia. Much of the Asian gasoline flooding into Singapore is from China. The situation means that refineries will likely cut production across the globe to allow existing stocks to deplete, it adds.
