Vietnam's H1 crude oil exports drop 23 pct y/y
HANOI, June 28 (Reuters) - Vietnam's crude oil exports during January-June fell 23 percent from the same period last year to an estimated 3.57 million tonnes, or 144,000 barrels per day (bpd), the government said on Tuesday.
Crude oil export revenues in the six-month period dropped 46.6 percent from a year ago to $1.13 billion, the government's General Statistics Office said in its monthly report.
Oil product imports rose 28.1 percent in the same period to an estimated 6.4 million tonnes, while the import value dropped 17.5 percent to $2.4 billion, the office said.
Vietnam's liquefied petroleum gas imports during the six-month period advanced 22 percent from a year ago to 613,000 tonnes, it said.
Vietnam, Asia's third-largest holder of crude oil reserves after China and India, produces an average 350,000 bpd of crude oil, or around 40 percent of that by Indonesia, the sole OPEC member in Southeast Asia.
