宇部工业计划采用新的环己酮生产工艺

据悉，日本宇部工业已经宣布公司位于日本宇部的环己酮装置将采用一种新的生产工艺。新的工艺将通过让苯酚选择性的与氢化合生产环己酮，而现有的工艺是基于环己烷氧化。

宇部工业表示，与现有的工艺相比，新的工艺有很多优点，包括更加的合理化、减少设备、环己酮收率更高、蒸汽和电力消耗更低。

Ube to adopt new process for making cyclohexanone, build facility

Ube Industries has announced that it will switch to a new manufacturing process for cyclohexanone at the company’s Ube City, Japan, manufacturing site. The new process produces cyclohexanone by selectively hydrogenating phenol. The existing process is based on oxidizing cyclohexane.

The new phenol-based process offers a number of advantages over the existing process, Ube says. The new process is more streamlined, downsizes equipment, provides higher yields of cyclohexanone from raw materials, and consumes less steam and electricity, Ube adds.
