Final report from US EPA sees some drinking water impacts from fracking
Washington (Platts)--13 Dec 2016
The US Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday released a final report it said provided scientific evidence "that hydraulic fracturing activities can impact drinking water resources under some circumstances."
In doing so, the agency backed off of a key conclusion in its June 2015 draft report: a statement that the agency did not find evidence that fracking led to widespread, systemic impacts on drinking water resources in the US.
