Venezuela Oil Output Seen Down Sharply This Year
Venezuela's oil production will fall 300,000-350,000 b/d this year to around 2.21 million b/d, the biggest decline in years, according to Luisa Palacios, Latin America director at Medley Global Advisors in New York. The decline is driven by power outages caused by the national electrical crisis, lower drilling activity caused by debts to service providers and the natural decline of mature fields in the west of the country, she said.
