Ecuador Postpones Summit of South American Oil Producers
A gathering of Latin American oil producers planned this Friday in Quito, Ecuador, has been postponed due to conflicting schedules, the country's oil minister Carlos Pareja Yannuzelli says. The summit was set to debate a common position between Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia and Mexico ahead of a broader meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC countries to freeze output. But Mr Pareja Yannuzelli told Ecuador news agency Andes the Quito summit will take place on March 30 while the larger conference is planned for April 17.
